Dear family, friends, and supporters,

A couple of months ago, my husband, daughter, and I sat in our living room discussing the possibility of me running for the Wayzata School Board. Here we are, months later, at the end of our campaign. Even though we did not get the result we hoped for, I am still extremely grateful for this entire experience.

Thank you to all of you for your incredible efforts throughout this process. Whether you helped us by voting, door knocking, phone banking, word of mouth, or even just putting a sign in your yard, thank you. My family and I are truly humbled by all of those who were so willing to provide support. We are extremely thankful to be a part of this community and to call it home.

I have hope that those elected will do what is best for our students. I encourage all of you who were involved in my campaign to continue sharing your voice in our community. Let the board know what is important to you. Hold everyone accountable. This is our community. Let’s ensure that our students are getting their world-class education.

Thank you again for everything.

Sincerely,

Vishala Kamojjala

Vishala for Wayzata School Board

My name is Vishala Kamojjala and I am running to serve on our Wayzata School Board. I have lived in the district for the past 10 years with my husband, daughter and our adorable labradoodle, Bruno.  While holding a Doctor of Medicine degree, acquired abroad, and a certificate in clinical research from Harvard, I have been working in clinical research in the Twin Cities for the past 15 years.

My daughter entered the district in 6th grade and graduated this past Spring. Through her active involvement in Student Council, I have learned about the concerns within our Wayzata community. I am dedicated to bringing us all together to continue the mission of Wayzata Public Schools, which is to ensure a world-class education that prepares each and every student to thrive today and excel tomorrow in an ever-changing global society. I believe that Wayzata provides our students with incredible opportunities; it is up to us to ensure that these opportunities are utilized to the utmost capacity.

Through the years, I have served on the Parent Teacher Association, have been a chair for a local Asian-American organization, and am an avid volunteer in the Wayzata community. I am thrilled to seek election for the Wayzata School Board. I have centered my campaign around a few key goals. Please click on the "Meet Vishala" tab to learn more about my platform. I hope to work with all of you and aspire to serve as your representative.
